В некоторых SSD тупо нет датчика температуры.

вроде на kingston a400 он есть, врядли он бы при такой температуре работал, да?

А на ощупь как?
И попробуйте
sudo smartctl -a /dev/sda
(или какой он у вас)
В выводе будет температура (ID 194)

Внесу дополнение к обсуждению: термодатчик это НЕ термометр. Его показания валидны в довольно узком промежутке околокритических температур (собственно, под этот интервал он и берется). Остальной диапазон системе неинтересен — в нем не производится никаких действий и точность не требуется. Если же требуется регулировка за пределами интервала точных показаний, то на основании скотских фантазий датчика о температурах строится кривая, к которой и идет привязка.
Термодатчик он примерно как палец соседа: «холодно», «в самый раз», «горячо». Только цифры (иногда близкие к реальности) показывает.
Мораль этой басни: температуру меряют специальным прибором — градусникомтермометром в разных вариантах.
